Dude, is it September yet?!!!!!!
I was a junior in high school that fall and vividly recall both games, as both were heartbreaking losses.
LSU won due to a dropped TD pass that would have iced the game for UGA.
Clemson’s kicker, David Treadwell, broke our hearts for the second consecutive year nailing a last second FG.
The magical home field advantage had clearly left Athens by that time as UGA could no longer count on Sanford to give us a slight advantage.
It can be argued that David Shula ended that in 1985. We stopped believing that we were unbeatable at home.
Yeah it’s amazing all of these great intros were losses. I love your email address by the way!!!
The hair is still standing up on the back of my neck…..
