1,000 Down. Many Thousand To Go.

This post marks my 1,000th post as Corbindawg on the Grit Tree. We have been around the blogosphere for nearly 4 years-September 1, 2009 was our first day. Boy, did we ever pick a great time to start blogging.

When we started, we didn’t know how this thing would go, or how long we would do it. The four of us just wanted to take the conversations we had all the time and turn them into a blog.

Over the past 4 years this venture has been beneficial for us personally on so many levels. Close friendships have been made stronger, new friendships have formed, and exciting ideas are shared with our Bulldog family.

A cool thing happened at the Auburn game last year. We went to a friend’s tailgate and someone was talking about Dawg websites they read, and someone (a complete stranger) said “I read the Grit Tree all the time.” A friend who I was with (who was quite intoxicated) yelled “That’s Corbindawg! That’s Corbindawg!” The stranger told me he reads our blog all the time, and was one of the ones he checked out on a regular basis. Pretty cool for a little guy like me.

I think we have a good thing here. I appreciate you all reading us and interactions we get in the comments and on Twitter. It has been a fun hobby to have and I look forward to keep on keeping on.
