Armistice for the Bulldog Nation

There is civil unrest within our Bulldog Nation.  The fan base is split.  You have die hard alumni who bash the students for the lack of spirit and attendance for the home games.  You have “fans” like Bill Shanks who want Mark Richt on the first flight to Haiti.  You have crticis of Aaron Murray who think he is overrated and that Hutson Mason should get some quality PT.  You have the fans who constantly belittle Mike Bobo and the job he has done.

Well, let me tell you Dawg fans, let it stop.

At least for this week.  We have bigger fish to fry.  Don’t worry, I already have a blog post in the hopper for next week (regardless of the outcome Saturday) full of finger pointing and indignation to all the Richt bashers out there.

But for now, let us unite under one common goal.  As hard as it might be for some of you, don’t bitch and moan about anything this week. Let’s rally around and come together for the greater good:  let’s  cheer on our Dawgs to victory on Saturday.

We won the State Championship Saturday afternoon.  This Saturday is the Regional Championship game.  January 7 is the National Championship.  This should be the focus of our efforts and energy.  Anything else is a waste of resources.

To borrow lines from Larry Munson, “Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black, with two words, two simple words, which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation. Go Dawgs!
