Trouble In Columbia?

And no, I am not talking about Columbia, MO.  I am talking a few hours east on I-20 in South Carolina.

South Carolina Quarterback Connor Shaw missed Saturday’s blowout win versus ECU and Dylan Thompson came in and did quite well.

As good as the Ole Ball Coach is, and as good as his legacy is with quarterbacks, since he has been with South Carolina he has had tons of QB issues.

Spurrier has a great tailback in Marcus Lattimore.  He will run his horse until the wheels fall off.   At some point this season, Spurrier is going to get fancy and start throwing it when he should simply hand it #21.  I know Connor Shaw was banged up against Vandy, but if Shaw struggles, look for Spurrier to have a quick trigger finger and pull him in favor of Thompson.  Spurrier playing tricks and mind games with his QBs is one of his staples.  And if he starts screwing around with his QBs, then it could explode in his face (as it has his whole time in Columbia).

This scenario could only be positive for Georgia.

I hope we can stuff ML. It seems SC may not have the big time WRs as in the past. Perhaps sell out to stop the run and force the gamecocks to beat us through the air would be the smart gameplan.
