Murray > Stafford

I am a big Stafford fan, but Aaron Murray has done what Stafford couldn’t do.

He has led the team to the SEC Championship game and a 7-1 conference record.

Great job Bulldogs.  Great job Coach Richt.

SEC East Champions for fourth time in Richt’s tenure. How sweet it is!!

Cream puff schedule, Murray’s 1-6 vs. ranked teams. And Murray didn’t “lead”, had one of his worst games of the year. Grantham led the team to the SEC East Championship.

Stafford had a better record against the big boys.

Are you crediting today’s Sec clinching win to Murray?

I’m giving SOLE credit for this ENTRE SEASON to Grantham’s stellar defense.

Murray is okay, but winning a championship much less an appearance in a conference championship game does not automatically make Murray better than Stafford. Except for Cam Newton, and so so Tebow, the rest of the QB of the SEC BCS Champs are not making waves i.e. Russell, Wilson

Had Stafford been behind a Will Friend coached OL, he would have likely won a BCSNC for the Dawgs

I think he is saying that Murray acomplished something Stafford didn’t. He is not saying the AM is a better QB.

If AM is the starter for 2 more years, I predict he will own almost all of the UGA QB records. Will he be considered a good QB then? What if UGA wins a NC under his watch? Will the haters give him any credit?

Quarterbacks’ legacies are bases on if they win. Buck Belue has turned a career into being the QB when UGA won it all.

I am saying that as the QB, as the leader of the team, he has done more than Stafford ever did by being the first QB in 6 years to lead the Dawgs to the SECCG.

Agreed. It just seems that too many “fans” try to excuse away his records/accomplishments or whatever.
        i.e.
He had AJ Green, anyone would look good
The teams were weak, anyone could have won
        Hasn’t beaten any ranked teams.

These are nonsense to me. He is an integral part of a team that has won 9 games in a row and is the SEC East champion. Not too many other QB’s can say that.

        Go dawgs.
