Crowell, Thomas, and Malcome supended

Per georgiadogs.com

ATHENS, GA — Three University of Georgia running backs have been suspended for Saturday’s game with New Mexico State for violation of team policies according to UGA head coach Mark Richt.

Junior Carlton Thomas, freshman Isaiah Crowell, and redshirt freshman Ken Malcome will serve one-game suspensions on Saturday.

“We have certain standards in all that we do and their actions do not reflect the Georgia way,” said Richt. “They will serve their suspensions, learn a lesson and I’m sure be better men for it.”

Got to admire Richt for sticking to his guns. Time for B. Smith & Boykin to get some carries. 5 wide outs with a lot of passes from Murray & Mason will make things work.Hope all will be back & rested for Auburn. I do hope the little RB from Reidsville gets the start. Meanwhile, Richt, GATA.

This is an abomination. Any word on which team policy was violated? (My guess would be something related to the celebration of a victory over UF.)

The luck of Richt may be running out again. However he should continue to make decisions during games beyond his comfort zone to win games.

I wonder if they forgot to attend classes.

How about Harton???? He is on scholarship!!!!!

Is somebody deliberately making it sure UGA does not cover the point spread on Saturday. UGA is winning but has not covered the point spread yet?????? Just saying.

      Wasn’t the UF line 2.5?

UGA is 5-3 ATS right now not covering Boise, USC, and Vandy. But I see your point on taking NM this week.

The only running backs we have available are Brandon Harton, Kyle Karempelis, Alex Parsons, and Wes Van Dyk. Harton had 11 carries and Van Dyk is a Senior with 1 carry, both against Coast Carolina.

Well, at least they’ll be more well rested for Auburn. Thank goodness it’s just NMS this week.

Crowell has been one consistent problem after another. From getting winded and taking himself out of the games to more than one off the field issue. Perhaps, he should spend some time with Lattimore and learn a thing or two about hard work.
