Mississippi State Live Blog

Trying our hand at some live blogging from today’s game – we’ll be posting thoughts and observations as today’s game goes on.

Lugnut Dawg

SECOND QUARTER

The big thing was rebounding – after the Murray pick, Sanders Cummings pick appeared to turn things, and Georgia flat out drove the ball and took momentum right back.

FIRST QUARTER

Team appears to be on a mission – sending a strong message early. Sure field position has helped a lot, but you still have to execute.

Wow – what a cutback for Crowell – too bad he stepped out of bounds, but nice run nonetheless.

Nice job by the defense of holding to a field goal – State using short passes well, which is a trademark of what they do offensively.

That is what you call an early message. Defensive stop followed by a quick scoring drive. If Georgia gets mismatches with Orson Charles like that the rest of the day, it could be a tough afternoon for State.

If you want a good start, that’s how you get it – big plays by the defense and a good punt return.
