Question of the Day

Which is worse:

The Seahawks being allowed to host an NFL playoff game or UConn being allowed to  participate in the Fiesta Bowl?

I’d be curious to see your response.

Conn. won the Big east with a winning record. They can play any any meaningless bowl they wish. They performed better than Michigan State.

I vote Seattle Seahawks. I’m more mad at St.Louis for not beating Seattle last night. 8-8 has been done before, 7-9, lowered the bar.

+1 – I agree. I don’t think a team with a losing record should be eligible for any post-season play. Talk about reducing the value of the regular season. Although any team that was smoked by this year’s Michigan team probably shouldn’t be eligible for a BCS berth either.

The Rams should have been the Seahawks last night, but they didn’t, so now we’re stuck with this bizarro world playoff. But UConn doesn’t grind on me too bad. People could say the same about letting sorry ole’ UGA play in the Auto Zone bowl.

If you are a legit football fan, I offer this question. Who wants to watch the Seahawks or UConn? Not me, unless I lived in their area or zip code. Let’s be honest, it is not football all the time. But it is a pay check for some all the time irregardless of the level of play. I have better things to do with my time and my money than watch stuff like that. Nope I’d rather invest that in the Dawgs and my local high school programs (and the SEC and region teams).

Heard this question on Mike and Mike this morning, but it was put a different way: Which is worse, Seattle making the playoffs or an undefeated non-AQ team not winning the BCS?
