Some Weekend Links

Before heading out for a few days, here are a few links to keep you busy…

First, thanks to PWD for sharing this letter from Andy Staples. If you don’t read anything else, read this.

Appears the Senator had a few of the same thoughts we did on last night’s game. As always, he just says it so much better.

Former UGA hoops stud is making the best of his shot.

Throw South Florida into the mix of programs looking for new coaches. Wasn’t that long ago that they were a pretty good team.

Chalk this one up as a “head-scratcher”: Jevan Snead leaving Ole Miss. Why, why, why?

UT must be getting serious on the whole drug and guns thing.

Speaking of college b-ball, how long is this OJ Mayo story going to last?

Finally, here is a link that should be a part of everyone’s morning read. Dates back to my days of reading the Red and Black as an undergrad. I’ve heard they no longer run this cartoon, which is a travesty. Nonetheless, I’ve carried it on. Seriously, every morning. Before I even log on to here. Who doesn’t love a smart-aleck cat, a not-so-smart dog, and an ultra-liberal? If nothing else, it will provide a good laugh. As Readers Digest says, “Laughter is the Best Medicine.”

Stay warm out there. Never thought that I’d be going to the pacific Northwest to warm up.
