Baptized

Not sure how many bloggers have mentioned this, if any, but it bears repeating.

Todd Gurley’s biggest statement of the weekend didn’t come on Saturday against Tennessee, but rather on Sunday when he stood in front of fellow believers and was baptized in Athens Church on Sunday morning. Gurley joined teammates Kenarious Gates and Chris Burnette in believers baptism.

Sometimes we as a Bulldog Nation are guilty of losing focus, thinking that there is nothing more important than what happens on 12 Saturdays each fall. These three guys get it though, and I am so proud of them and am thrilled to call them brothers in Christ. To make this statement can sometimes be harder than any athletic feat, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

Go Dawgs!
