I saw this YouTube video the other day, and something jumped out at me. Skip ahead to about the 0:57 mark. See Coach Richt jog over to the band and fan section. He does this all the time, especially after a big win. He jogs over to the band and student section, gives a thumbs up and wave. It is pretty low key.
It was different at Missouri. See this video:
Coach Richt goes over, but then you catch him showing some real fire and excitement. This is in addition to him calling out players in the media and bashing the team in press conferences for playing poorly in a scrimmage.
I have never been one to bash Coach Richt for his laid back and calm attitude. Sure his no Nick Saban, and all types of personalities can win ballgames. But I must say, to see Richt with a renewed fire in his belly does make me feel good, and something about it makes me feel good about the rest of the season.
