I don’t pay much to recruiting, at least until there are few days before NSD. But you would have to live under a rock if you didn’t know that Georgia’s numbers are down, and we are working hard on its 2013 class. There are already a lot of kids set to sign on NSD in February. By my count of what Seth Emerson reported, Georgia has 24 verbal commitments and 247 sports has this ranked as the 10th best class in the country (4th in the SEC).
Of these 24 kids, here is how it is broken down by position (note the numbers might not add up becuase some kids are listed at multiple positions):
*QB : 1
Breaking down the different “stars”, Georgia has: 0 5-star, 12 4-star, 11 3-star, 1 2-star.
Considering that Georgia’s numbers are down and we can back count several to the 2012 class, there is still room for 5-7 more players. Looks like we are loading up on the secondary, where help is needed. I would like to see several more OL signed.
