UGA has changed its drug testing policy (h/t The Senator), and though it is not the changes I would like to see, I think it is still a good policy to have.
The main change is trying and keeping the test confidental. Do you remember simpler, happier times when players were just suspended for the mysterious “violation of team rules”? Well, we all know that it usually meant a failed drug test, but it provided just a little bit of doubt.
Next time three running backs are suspended in the middle of the season, the world won’t know why. And that is best for everyone involved.
