One of my favorite BBQ joints, Dusty’s near Emory, closed its doors around 2009 before the birth of TGT and our formerly frequent BBQ reviews.
Another legendary cue place, Harold’s, was threatening to close its doors a few months back, and patrons rushed in, not to protest/show support over social issues, but to eat good BBQ and help save a local legend. I haven’t been to Harold’s and don’t know its current status, but the last I heard they were really just operating on a month-to-month basis.
In addition to Daddy D’z, the other BBQ place in Atlanta that I like and go to about once a year is Fox Bros. Well, last night, the curse of Atlanta BBQ joints reared its head again, this time by sending a 100 oak tree down on the Dekalb Ave resturant.
The curse lives on…
