Look, I know some of the folks up in the land of snow, ice and refusal to adapt care nothing for being defeated time and time again on a large stage (for the most part), but when you bring our fried chicken joints into this, this deal is personal.
But honestly, is it that surprising that the Big 10 doesn’t want to be forward thinking? I mean, this is the same crowd who clings, mostly, to the four yards and a cloud of dust offensive strategy. It works fine when you play other teams with similar gameplans. But when it comes to matching up against teams from the SEC, it gets exposed, with the exception of facing a Georgia team with no running game to kill clock, but that’s a post for another time.
Look, I don’t blame the Big 10 for not favoring a system that’d enable possibly more SEC teams a shot at a title – but don’t hold the rest of college football hostage because you are slow to adapt.
