Bobby Cox to Retire After 2010 Season

Not football related, but the Braves are THE TEAM for the South.

The AJC has reported that Braves Manager Bobby Cox is retiring at the end of NEXT season.  After a reported spat with General Manager Frank Wren and then having an up and down season before seeing the team’s contention for post season play slip a couple of weeks ago, reports speculated over the last week that Cox would not be back next season.

I am glad that Bobby Cox is going out on his own terms.  I am also glad that he is coming back for one more go around.  The pitching staff should be the best in the National League, if not all of baseball.  Of course I would like to see the Braves win it all next season, but I hope they can at least give Bobby one more division title.  It would be a fitting end.

Go Dawgs!  Go Braves!
